Custom Lead Generation FAQ
How is this different from standard shared leads?
The difference is substantial. Instead of generating shared leads interested across many different business types and areas, we target the most ideal customers for you.
We also use messaging that is specific to your products and services and we have a dedicated team just for you.
This is hugely different from “Standard inventory” which gets sold to 4 companies and is better for smaller businesses just starting out, or very large corporations with huge sales floors, who can monetize all types of leads regardless of the sales cycle time or ROI.
How many leads will I get?
Although every campaign is different, the trend is that during month 1 we are picking up steam and usually generated a handful of leads.
In month 2, we see results pick up and usually begin working with our client to determine whether we want to make an effort to 1) further qualify prospects to reduce the lead count, but increase quality, or 2) work to produce a higher volume of leads, by reducing the number of qualifiers.
What happens after I sign up?
We schedule a kickoff call during which we ask you questions about your business and the main products/services you want to push. We use this information to create detailed messaging which we will use in email marketing and on LinkedIn, to generate leads for your sales team.
Do you prepare messaging on my behalf?
Yes, we do! Our writing team prepares your entire campaign. For email marketing, we register a secondary “email-only” domain to ensure your root / main is not associated with marketing efforts. This is a common practice adopted by some of the largest companies, such as Google and Facebook.
After our team prepares your messaging we then begin the campaign.
What happens on the monthly review call?
We schedule a monthly call, approximately 15-30 minutes long, to go through your results. This way you know where you stand in relation to your competition and we can make improvements whenever there is a need, based on the results. This is also a time to discuss changes in campaign demographics (i.e. the type of leads we are generating for you).
Why is it important to give you access to my CRM?
In order to properly compare your results with other clients and help you improve, our team needs to see all the steps being taken by your sales team when working the leads. Without seeing all the notes, call history, and all aspects of your team’s communication with the lead, it’s difficult for us to analyze. A good comparison would be trying to gauge an website’s performance based on one stat in Google Analytics. Imagine only having access to “New Visitors” without having any other data points such as the source, on-site performance, etc. It would be impossible to properly analyze a website’s results. The same holds true when analyzing your campaign and ensuring your success. We have worked with over companies to generate leads so we have the process finely tuned.
What should I expect in terms of results?
Lead-flow. In the first month as the campaign is growing, the results are usually slow. This gives us time to set the pace with your sales team and teach them about how the leads need to be worked. By month 2 we see a higher volume of leads.
Connection rate. Your connection rate should be higher, provided your team is following our Best Practices. It is essential these steps are followed to produce great results. The most commonly missed step is to vigorously call each lead (3-5 times daily for 5 days in a row). Especially if you are dealing with a niche business type such as lawyers or doctors, it is important to consider that a tenacious attitude is required to reach them. Making contact on day 1 and building rapport is the most crucial step.
Conversion rate. Across the board we see a higher conversion rate with leads generated from custom campaigns vs. standard inventory. The reason is that it’s a lead we’re producing just for your company, with messaging about your specific products/services.
Clients with more niche services, for example only working with medical professionals, tend to see a higher life-time customer value and overall ROI vs. clients who are selling more generalized services to small businesses.
