Retaining Your SEO Leads – Part 2

This is part 2 in how to help you retain your SEO leads longer.

The Process

To get your clients where they need to be  it is a long term process. They need to know this immediately.Let them know it is impossile to see drastic changes overnight. SEO is a logn process. If you provide them with great service, education, and realistic expectations you should have no problem keeping them as clients longer. Let them know up front that getting to where they want to be is going to take either 9,12, or 18 months.  SEO requires vigilance and after they meet the goals we have set forth, it is just a matter of time before they start dropping in their position again if SEO is ignored.

Updates and Support

Let your clients know periodically about changes to SEO. Not only will this let them know that SEO is an evolving fluid process, it will also re-instill the sense that this is a long term process. They want to be involved in what you are doing with their website. It can be as simple as inviting them to a brainstorming session. Show them what you are doing throughout the process. Most importantly, show your clients support every way you can. When they have questions get back to them quickly with a researched answer, reach out to them periodically even when not scheduled to touch base and let them know you are working on their business.

All of these tips should allow you to retain your SEO leads long term. A happy client will always stay with your business.
